Paul Gibson is so much fun to work with. He is wonderfully liberal – knows exactly what he wants and needs to film, yet, at the same time, always has an open mind. Before we started filming on The Canterville Ghost, we had great conversations about the creation of the Sir Simon character and how it was perceived, which was enormously helpful. Then, working together on set, his direction was lovely, exploring the tone of each scene, and allowing the comedy and drama of the character to interplay. The whole experience was a dream.
